How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

This policy explains what personal information FixMyRoof collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It applies to roofers who list with us and to homeowners who request quotes through the site.
FixMyRoof is a UK roofing directory and lead service operated by GLCB Advertising Services Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
From roofers who register or claim a listing: your name, business name, email address, phone number, business postcode and coverage area, website, the services you offer, and your account login details. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is handled by Stripe and we receive limited billing details (we never see or store your full card number).
From homeowners who request a quote: your name, phone number, postcode and the details of the job you describe. We use your postcode to find roofers near you.
Automatically: standard technical data such as your IP address and browser, and cookies including analytics cookies (see Cookies below).

When a homeowner submits an enquiry, we pass it to the matched roofer or roofers so they can respond. Those roofers then handle your details as their own responsibility.
We use a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe for payments; Resend and Google Workspace for email; Smartlead for outreach to unclaimed listings; Google for Business Profile tools (where a roofer connects their account); DataForSEO for ranking data; postcodes.io for postcode lookups; and our hosting provider WPX.
Some of these may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your personal data.
Once you register or claim a listing, we may send you emails about getting the most from FixMyRoof and about our paid plans, as well as alerts when an enquiry comes up in your area. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in offering our own services to businesses we already work with, and you can opt out at any time.
Every marketing and lead-alert email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. You can choose to stop the marketing emails but keep the lead alerts, stop the lead alerts, or stop everything. Opting out never affects essential emails about your account, such as billing, password resets and security notices.
We use cookies, including analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can control non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and your browser settings.
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email richard@fixmyroof.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure hosting and encrypted payment handling through Stripe.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
